Is there any possibility of disabling the OTP verification when users enter the email? we want only to acquire the emails but we think that the OTP could be a huge stopper to starting a conversation
You can go to Settings > User Data and set the "Collect User Details" as optional.
The users would only have to authenticate via OTP when they want to see the previous chat history.
If they just want to chat, they can just start a conversation, and in the conversation, they can enter their email. They do not have to authenticate via OTP or anything in this case.
We are asking OTP when looking at chat history because we don't want some stranger to view another person's chat history just because that stranger knows the other person's email.
But for normal chatting, there is no need for chat history.
